  • What is fast user switching in windows?
  • What are reasons to disable fast user switching?

Windows operating system offers a lot of useful features. One of the best features is fast user switching in windows OS.

You can switch between different users accounts on your system. If you are working on your computer and other users want to login to their accounts, you can simply switch user accounts.

With switch user accounts, others users can log into their accounts, while all your work and other applications will remain in same condition when you switch back to your account.

This is a great way to keep all your applications and different tasks in running conditions.

When others users will log into their accounts, complete their tasks, you can simply switch back to your user account to continue your tasks.

Reasons To Disable Fast User Switching

Fast user switching is always enabled in windows OS by default. If you want to disable fast user switching, you need to do this manually.

There are many reasons to disable fast user switching in windows OS. No doubt, fast user switching is a great feature in windows.

  • But one of the biggest drawback of switch user accounts in windows OS is reduction in performance and speed of windows.
  • If multiple users log into different accounts by switch users on your system, then your system needs higher resources to run all user accounts simultaneously.
  • For example, if you are running heavy applications and tasks on your system and switch to other user accounts, then your system needs to allocate system processing speed and resources to all active user accounts on your system. This will greatly reduce the speed and performance of your system.
